Ashher Masood
Ashher Masood is a PhD student focusing on the Qur’an, its Late Antique context, and the development of its exegetical tradition. He is also interested in early-Islamic history, Comparative Semitics, and the transfer of ideas across religious/social boundaries during Islam’s formative period.
He holds an MA from the University of Chicago in Middle Eastern Studies, an MS from New York University in Biological Sciences, and a BA from the University of Illinois at Chicago in History and Psychology.
