Making an Islamic Manuscript with Yasemin Sönmez

The Making an Islamic Manuscript workshop aims to teach participants how Islamic manuscripts were traditionally made as demonstrating commonly used materials and techniques in the Islamic book culture. It is a five-day workshop. In each session, a different material and technique will be introduced. Materials for each step will be provided to the participants, and the manuscript making process will be demonstrated with one-on-one attention.
